กรมศุลกากรจัดงานวันศุลกากรสากลประจำปี 2563 พร้อมจัดพิธีมอบใบประกาศเกียรติคุณจากองค์การศุลกากรโลก ให้แก่เจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากรจำนวน 24 ราย โดยมี

นายกฤษฎา จีนะวิจารณะ อธิบดีกรมศุลกากร กล่าวว่า วันที่ 26 มกราคมของทุกปี เป็นวันศุลกากรสากล(International Customs Day: ICD) และกรมศุลกากรได้จัดกิจกรรมมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งในปีนี้ตรงกับ วันอาทิตย์ที่ 26 มกราคม 256๓ สำหรับปีนี้ องค์การศุลกากรโลก (World Customs Organization: WCO) ได้กำหนดสโลแกน Customs fostering Sustainability for People, Prosperity and the Planet ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นให้ศุลกากรสนับสนุนงานด้านต่างๆ ที่สำคัญ ดังนี้ People: การสร้างความมั่นคงและความปลอดภัยของสังคมโดยการป้องกันและปราบปรามสินค้าที่ผิดกฎหมาย การก่อการร้าย และการฟอกเงิน Prosperity: การอำนวยความสะดวกทางการค้าและลดอุปสรรคทางการค้าด้วยการพัฒนาพิธีการทางศุลกากรให้มีความสะดวกรวดเร็ว รวมถึงการป้องกันและปราบปรามการฉ้อฉลทางศุลกากรและการหลีกเลี่ยงภาษีอากร และ Planet: การคำนึงถึงสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของสังคมด้วยการส่งเสริมการปฏิบัติตามความตกลงระหว่างประเทศด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงการป้องกันและปราบปรามการค้าของเสียอันตราย สารทำลายชั้นบรรยากาศโอโซน และพืชป่าและสัตว์ป่าที่ใกล้สูญพันธุ์
ทั้งนี้ กรมศุลกากรได้คัดเลือกเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากรที่มีส่วนสำคัญในงานต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ Customs fostering Sustainability for People, Prosperity and the Planet ให้เข้ารับใบประกาศเกียรติคุณจากองค์การศุลกากรโลก จำนวน 24 ราย รวมทั้งเชิญแขกจากหน่วยงานภายนอก เข้าร่วมเป็นเกียรติในงานดังกล่าวด้วย ได้แก่ ที่ปรึกษาศุลกากรจากประเทศต่างๆ ที่ประจำอยู่ในประเทศไทย เจ้าหน้าที่จากสำนักงานเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถประจำภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก (WCO Asia/Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building: ROCB A/P) และผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากองค์การความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของญี่ปุ่น (Japan International Cooperation Agency: JICA) นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการจัดนิทรรศการเผยแพร่ข้อมูลระบบงานที่กรมศุลกากรจัดทำขึ้น อาทิ TradeLens Platform with Blockchain Technology, e-Drawback, NSW e-Tracking on Mobile , Bill Payment และปฏิบัติการต่างๆ ที่กรมศุลกากรเข้าร่วม ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับสโลแกนที่ WCO กำหนดไว้ อีกด้วย
2020 International Customs Day Customs fostering Sustainability for People, Prosperity and the Planet
Mr.Krisada Chinavicharana, Director-General of the Thai Customs Department, presided over the opening ceremony of 2020 International Customs Day and awarded Customs executives and officials, a total of 24, the Certificates of Merit on 27 January 2020 at Customs Hall, Building 1, the Customs Department.
The Director-General stated that International Customs Day (ICD) was annually held on 26 January. For this year, its slogan is “Customs fostering Sustainability for People, Prosperity and the Planet”. The concept can be categorized as follows:
(1) People: Serving the People by building safe and secure societies by combating illegal trade, terrorism and money laundering.
(2) Prosperity: Ensuring Prosperity by reducing trade barriers, streamlining Customs procedure to facilitate international trade and taking strong action against duty evasion.
(3) Planet: Protecting the Planet and aiming for a sustainable future by ensuring and supporting compliance with international environmental agreements and conventions.
In this regard, a total of 24 Customs executives and officials who have demonstrated their commitment to the 2020 slogan, were selected to be awarded the Certificates of Merit from the World Customs Organization (WCO.) The guests of honor for this event included Bangkok-based Customs Attachés, representatives from WCO Asia/Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB A/P) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) experts. Apart from the certificate presentation, there was an exhibition featuring Customs projects and work, namely TradeLens Platform with Blockchain Technology, e-Drawback, NSW e-Tracking on Mobile, Bill Payment and numerous operations, which are in line with this year’s slogan.
