กรมท่าอากาศยาน ชูดิจิทัล ก้าวสู่ Smart Terminal เสริมแกร่งการท่องเที่ยวไทย จับมือ เอไอเอส เปิดบริการ Free WiFi อินเทอร์เน็ตไร้สายความเร็วสูง ใน 25 สนามบินทั่วประเทศ

     กรมท่าอากาศยาน กระทรวงคมนาคม ไว้วางใจเลือก เอไอเอส เป็นผู้พัฒนาเครือข่ายสื่อสารใน 25 สนามบินทั่วประเทศ นำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลมาประยุกต์ใช้ เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกและมอบประสบการณ์ที่เป็นเลิศให้แก่ผู้ใช้บริการท่าอากาศยาน เชื่อมั่นส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวไทยเติบโต

        นายอาคม เติมพิทยาไพสิฐ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงคมนาคม กล่าวว่า “รัฐบาลได้มียุทธศาสตร์การพัฒนาตามแผนพัฒนาดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคม ที่เน้นในเรื่องของการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัลประสิทธิภาพสูงให้ครอบคลุมทั่วประเทศ โดยมุ่งพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัลประสิทธิภาพสูง ที่ประชาชนสามารถเข้าถึงและใช้ประโยชน์ได้ทุกที่ทุกเวลา ซึ่งกระทรวงคมนาคมได้ให้ความสำคัญดังกล่าวเป็นอย่างมาก วันนี้จึงถือเป็นสิ่งที่ดีที่กรมท่าอากาศยานได้ยกระดับการให้บริการแก่ผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางผ่านท่าอากาศยานทั้ง 25 แห่ง ด้วยบริการอินเตอร์เน็ตไร้สายความเร็วสูง ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับพฤติกรรมของผู้เดินทางในยุคดิจิทัล และเป็นไปตามนโยบายของรัฐบาลที่มุ่งเน้นให้ประชาชนเข้าถึงโครงสร้างพื้นฐานดิจิทัลได้มากที่สุด”

      ด้าน นางอัมพวัน วรรณโก อธิบดีกรมท่าอากาศยาน กล่าวว่า “กรมท่าอากาศยานได้มีการพัฒนาการให้บริการของท่าอากาศยานในสังกัดทั้ง 25 แห่ง ในด้านต่างๆ อย่างครอบคลุม ทั้งด้านความปลอดภัยที่กรมท่าอากาศยานได้ให้ความสำคัญเป็นอย่างมาก รวมถึงด้านการอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ผู้โดยสาร ดังเช่นในวันนี้ที่กรมท่าอากาศยานได้เปิดประมูลให้สิทธิในการพัฒนาการให้บริการ Free Wi-Fi อินเตอร์เน็ตไร้สาย ซึ่งมี บริษัท แอดวานซ์ ไวร์เลส เน็ทเวอร์ค จำกัด บริษัทในเครือของเอไอเอส เป็นผู้ชนะการประมูลสิทธิ และจะได้เข้ามาพัฒนาและให้บริการ Free Wi-Fi อินเตอร์เน็ตไร้สาย ณ ท่าอากาศยานในสังกัดกรมท่าอากาศยาน ทั้ง 25 แห่ง ซึ่งผู้โดยสารจะสามารถใช้บริการ Free Wi-Fi ได้ครบทุกแห่ง ภายในเดือนมีนาคม 2562 นี้ โดยกรมท่าอากาศยานมีแผนที่จะพัฒนาการให้บริการในทุกภาคส่วน เพื่อให้ท่าอากาศยานในสังกัดสามารถรองรับและตอบสนองความต้องการของประชาชนได้อย่างเพียงพอต่อไป”  

      ด้าน นายวีรวัฒน์ เกียรติพงษ์ถาวร หัวหน้าคณะผู้บริหาร ด้านธุรกิจสัมพันธ์และองค์กร เอไอเอส กล่าวว่า “วันนี้พฤติกรรมของผู้บริโภคในยุคดิจิทัล มีความต้องการเชื่อมต่อ online ตลอดเวลา โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มนักเดินทาง หรือ นักท่องเที่ยว ที่ในระหว่างการเดินทางย่อมต้องการค้นหาข้อมูล ทำธุรกรรม รวมถึงการสื่อสารผ่าน Applications ต่างๆ ดังนั้นในสถานที่อย่างท่าอากาศยาน ซึ่งเป็น 1 ในจุดหลักที่นักท่องเที่ยวพักรอระหว่างเดินทาง จึงต้องมีโครงข่ายดิจิทัลที่ทันสมัย เต็มประสิทธิภาพ ตอบสนองความต้องการข้างต้นได้อย่างดีที่สุด”

        “เราจึงมีความยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ กรมท่าอากาศยาน กระทรวงคมนาคม ได้ให้โอกาส บริษัท แอดวานซ์ ไวร์เลส เน็ทเวอร์ค จำกัด บริษัทในเครือของเอไอเอส ในฐานะผู้ให้บริการดิจิทัล (Digital Life Service Provider) เข้ามาร่วมพัฒนาโครงข่ายสื่อสารทั้ง WiFi (อินเตอร์เน็ตไร้สายความเร็วสูง) และ Mobile ในพื้นที่สนามบิน 25 แห่ง ทุกภาคทั่วประเทศ ภายใต้การดูแลของกรมท่าอากาศยาน กระทรวงคมนาคม ตามเป้าหมายหลักคือ ขยายขีดความสามารถในการให้บริการของกรมท่าอากาศยาน จากการนำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลเข้ามาประยุกต์ใช้ เพื่อมอบประสบการณ์ที่เป็นเลิศให้แก่นักท่องเที่ยว และผู้ใช้บริการ ในท่าอากาศยาน 25 แห่ง จากวันนี้เป็นต้นไป”

      โดยรูปแบบการให้บริการ Free WiFi อินเตอร์เน็ตไร้สายความเร็วสูง จากความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ ประกอบด้วย

      1.   ผู้โดยสารและบุคคลทั่วไป (ลูกค้ามือถือทุกค่าย) สามารถใช้งาน WiFi ผ่านเครือข่าย DOA Free WiFi AIS ได้ฟรี 3 ชั่วโมงต่อวัน เพิ่มความสะดวกสบายในการเข้าใช้งานง่ายๆ ด้วยการ log in ผ่าน Facebook หรือ ลงทะเบียนด้วยตนเองทางหน้าเว็บไซต์ (ผู้ใช้บริการ WiFi ต้องลงทะเบียนในครั้งแรกเพื่อยืนยันตัวตน Identification and Authentication ตาม พรบ. คอมพิวเตอร์)

      2.   ลูกค้า AIS สามารถใช้งาน WiFi ผ่านเครือข่าย AIS SUPER WiFi ตามแพ็กเกจที่ใช้งานอยู่ได้ทันที

       “โดยนักท่องเที่ยว นักเดินทาง ตลอดจนผู้ที่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในท่าอากาศยานทั้ง 25 แห่ง สามารถมั่นใจได้ว่า การสื่อสารของท่านในช่วงพักรอระหว่างเดินทาง จะเป็นไปอย่างรวดเร็ว ตอบโจทย์ จากคุณภาพเครือข่าย The Next Generation ที่เอไอเอสมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาอย่างดีที่สุด ทั้งนี้คาดว่าการดำเนินการพัฒนาเครือข่ายในท่าอากาศยานทั้ง 25 แห่ง จะแล้วเสร็จภายในเดือนมีนาคม 2562”

Department of Airports develops smart terminals to strengthen tourism in Thailand Partners with AIS to provide free WiFi services in 25 airports nationwide

     The Department of Airports, Ministry of Transport, has chosen AIS to develop and install a state-of-the-art high-speed Internet/communications network in 25 airports nationwide. Digital technology is being adopted to provide greater convenience and deliver the ideal Internet and phone service experience for travelers at these airports. The Department expects the “smart terminals” to contribute to Thailand’s tourism growth.

         Mr.Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Transport says the government is keenly following through with a strategy underits Thailand Digital Economy and Society Plan that places emphasis on the development of high-performance digital infrastructure to cover top tourist destinations across the country. The government’s goal is for people to access and utilize digital infrastructure and services anywhere, anytime. Guided by this aim, the Ministry of Transport places great importance on achieving the development plan.

      “Today, the Department is making a crucial move upgrading service standards to high-speed Internet access for passengers in 25 airports. It responds not only to passenger demand in this digital era but also to the government’s policy of maximizing easy accessibility to digital infrastructure,” Mr. Arkhom adds.

       Department of Airports Director General Mrs. Amphawan Wannako points out that the Department has a broad range of services currently under development in 25 airports, especially safety and security, and a variety of convenient facilities for passengers.

      The Department had earlier conducted an auction for a license to develop free WiFi services at the 25 airports andAIS won the contract. The company is now ensuring that free WiFi services will be available at the airports by March 2019. The Department also plans to develop services in busy tourist destinations to ensure the airports can sufficiently accommodate and meet the needs of all travelers.

       AIS Chief Corporate Officer Mr. Weerawat Kiattipongthaworn says that in this digital era customers always need a fast, reliable online connection, especially travelers and tourists who search for information, make transactions and communicate via various applications during their travel. With airports being a key area for tourists awaiting flights, the facilities must have advanced, high-performance digital networks to perfectly serve all travelers.

       “We’re glad the Department of Airports has given Advanced Wireless Network Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of AIS which is the leading digital life service provider, an opportunity to jointly develop a communications network of both WiFi (high-speed wireless Internet) and mobile phone services in 25 airports nationwide. This implementation conforms to the Department’s key goal to enhance the capability of airport services through adoption of digital technology to deliver an ideal experience for tourists and customers at all 25 airports,”Mr. Weerawat adds.

       The free WiFi high-speed wireless Internet services:

       1. Passengers and visitors can use a free WiFi service via the DOA Free WiFi AIS network for up to 3 hours a day. For easier connectivity, customers can log in via Facebook or register on the website (WiFi users are required to register forthe first time for identification and authentication based on Thailand’s Computer Crime Act).

        2. AIS customers can access WiFi via the AIS Super WiFi network according to their packages.

        “Tourists and travelers as well as workers at 25 airports can have confidence that the AIS Next Generation network will deliver fast Internet access to support their communications and online surfing needs. The development of a free WiFi service is expected to be completed by March 2019,” Mr. Weerawat confirms.

       The 25 airports are in Krabi, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Mae Sot, Surat Thani, Udon Thani, UbonRatchathani, Chumpon, Trang, Nakhon Phanom, Narathiwat, Nan, Buriram, Phitsanulok, Phrae, Roi Et, Ranong, Lampang, Loei, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Mae Hong Son, Phetchabun, Pai, Hua Hin.
